Communications Director
Compensation: $36.54–$42.63/hour, commensurate with experience
Position Type: Part-Time, Exempt (20 hours/week)
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid: remote and in-person)

Position Overview
Montavilla Jazz seeks a creative, strategic communications leader to shape the organization's public voice and deepen engagement with audiences, donors, sponsors, artists, and the community. The Communications Director leads marketing, storytelling, media relations, and digital communications while helping grow attendance, strengthen fundraising efforts, and expand awareness of Montavilla Jazz's year-round programs and annual festival.
Working closely with the Executive Director, board members, artists, and community partners, this position activates the organization's brand across web, email, social media, print, and earned media to advance Montavilla Jazz's mission and strategic goals.

Stage Manager

Reports to: Production Manager
Position Overview
Montavilla Jazz is seeking experienced Stage Managers to oversee production at assigned festival venues during the 2027 Montavilla Jazz Festival. Stage Managers keep performances running on schedule, coordinate artists and production staff, supervise Stage Crew, and help deliver a seamless experience for performers and audiences.
