The Montavilla branch of the 125 year old US Bank opened its doors in 1961. Nana Opoku Hoerth has been with the bank for five years.
Nana loves Montavilla small businesses and their community-oriented owners. To her, Montavilla is uniquely diverse with residents of Middle Eastern, Eastern African, European, and Asian descent, in addition to others. Nana grew up near Montavilla and has many fond memories of attending City Bible Church (now Highland Christian Center).
While US Bank is a national bank, it has a very strong focus on the neighborhoods it serves. Many of Nana’s customers have been with the bank since the branch opened and often share their opening-day memories with her. Relationship-building is an important part of business at US Bank, Nana treats her customers like family.
Nana and US Bank support MJF 2015 because they are passionately committed to Montavilla and helping small businesses grow (US Bank is the #1 SBA lender in the country).
Nana’s love of music plays a part as well. While she loves reggae and music that is “bluesy with a little bit of country” (she mentions Zack Brown), her theme song would be Darrell Grant’s (this year’s festival headliner!) People Get Ready.
Stop in and visit Nana and ask her about US Bank’s home refinance plans (no-closing costs and no appraisal fees!).
