Sam Epstein is a Portland, Oregon-born saxophonist with roots across the Pacific Northwest. After attending high school in the Seattle area, he studied the saxophone at Whitman College with Leo Potts, returning to Portland in 2016. Recent efforts outside Neighborhood Politics include his debut EP, Trio I, gigs with friends in the indie rock scene (Songs for Snow Plow Drivers, Girlgoyle), and continued collaborations on studio projects (BrandonLee Cierley, Tenface, Live Island, Goldenbeets).
Charlie Brown III, Robert Rodriguez, and Dae Bryant are among Portland’s most dynamic musicians. When not touring and travelling, they can be found on stages around town many nights a week, leading their own groups and supporting the finest local, national, and international musical talents.
