PoiKilo is a jazz-adjacent band formed from the chaotic minds of Delos Erickson and Nik Barber. This electric duo takes energy to the next level. Through explorative harmony, groove, melody, and vibes, PoiKilo astrally projects into the minds of their audience and presents their truest forms to them. With songs that represent the grind of everyday life and space exploration, this duo will surely bring the heat, and if you’re reading this, it’s too late. With the addition of bassist Ian “Yuck” Lindsay, this group will continue to relentlessly bring their music to each corner of the cosmos. Blending styles such as avant-garde, neo-soul, bebop, modern, and everything in between, PoiKilo represents a freedom of expression in jazz music, while holding together a sense of groove and relentless passion for the music and blending each musician’s character into one penultimate soul, in which the music is brought to life. Though the representation of PoiKilo can be described as wacky or humorous, as soon as they play, you begin to understand how much these musicians strive to play this music.
