A voyage of original compositions and high-octane improvisations from a groundbreaking band, with live visuals from Agnes Zahina.
Eden Holland is an upright bassist, modular-synthesizer operator, and composer based in Portland, Oregon. They have performed with a cornucopia of the Pacific Northwest’s finest instrumentalists, composers, and improvisers. Eden carries a torch of tradition through a new frontier of harmonic and rhythmic peril, unexplored vistas of improvisation, and boundary-shaping maneuvers in the name of the avant-garde.
Agnes Zahina is an experimental animator, video artist, and VJ from the Pacific Northwest. She is fascinated by the dynamic between the viewer and the viewed, as well as the ways video can be used on and off the screen to examine this dynamic. Her work takes shape within the world of live performance while also drawing inspiration from the techniques of traditional narrative cinema. Agnes’ work frequently involves blending self-produced video, found video, and animated textures.
