Spiral Road is a group led by bandleader, trumpeter, and composer Thomas Barber. The ensemble features original music by Barber that explores unpredictable shifts in rhythm and harmony, drawing from diverse musical styles. Spiral Road focuses on large, ambitious pieces of music, and often performs each set as a single, unbroken suite. Spiral Road’s most recent member, Jon Lakey, will be debuting with the band at Montavilla Jazz Festival on August 21st.
