Passionate about the saxophone, its characteristics and possibilities, the Quadraphonnes are adventurous. Covering a variety of musical styles, from jazz-funk-pop to avant-garde, gypsy-punk, and classical, the Quads are celebrating their eighth year together.
Andrew Durkin is a composer and writer living in Portland. His most recent release, Breath of Fire, is on PJCE Records and received a four-star rating in Downbeat. His first book, Decomposition: A Music Manifesto, was published in 2014 by Pantheon. Durkin is best known as the leader of the Industrial Jazz Group.
